Deep Nature Connection for
Improved Wellbeing and Nature Repair

The practice of forest therapy is an invitation to deep nature connection. A time to step away from the busyness of daily life and experience yourself as part of the natural world. It is a sensory experience that is led by your curiosity.
There are many potential benefits of forest therapy that include improved wellbeing – relaxation, stress reduction and deeper sense of connection to self, others and the natural world. It can also lead to nature repair, as the more we connect with nature and engage in principles of compassion and reciprocity, the more we deepen in care for the natural world.
Allow nature’s peace to flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
~ John Muir
Forest Bathing
A common experience of deep nature connection is Forest Bathing. This is a sensory experience of nature that invites you to slow down, connect with your surroundings and experience deep relaxation.
It is an immersion in nature that is inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, which translates to ‘forest bathing.’
